Ed Bazel kicks off 2024 with exciting nominations and upcoming performances.

Award-winning pianist and composer Ed Bazel starts the new year with many triumphs. His emotive music was featured in The Beacon House Association of San Pedro’s documentary, Heart Of Recovery, which recently won three Award of Excellence honors in the Best Shorts Competition for the following categories: Documentary Short, Women Filmmakers, and Nonprofit/Fundraising. Heart Of Recovery raises awareness and funds to help men overcome addiction to alcohol and other drugs, furthering Beacon House’s goals as an organization. Bazel feels honored to have contributed to such an important cause. He says, “If we as musicians can in some way can help to solve some of these tough problems with calming music, that is our highest and best calling as musicians. I firmly believe that.”

Bazel continues his stride by becoming a two-time nominee at this year’s World Entertainment Awards, taking place February 2nd. His multi-award-winning album, The London Sessions: Reflections from Studio 2, received recognition once again as a nominee in the Best New Age Album category. Recorded at the renowned Abbey Road Studios in London, where legends like The Beatles and Pink Floyd have recorded music, Bazel – a huge Beatles fan, cites his own recording experiences as “surreal and humbling.”

With NAMM in full swing, Bazel will give a performance at The Pearl River Piano Reception at the Hotel Lulu Anaheim Resort on the evening of January 24th in conjunction with the premiere piano company’s NAMM celebrations. This private performance will provide a sneak peak into the magical compositions that Bazel recently created at Abbey Road for his next album, The London Sessions: New Perspectives from Studio 2.
