Julia Karst – GIZ Her&Now
Julia joined GIZ in India in 2018 where she leads Project “Her&Now”, which supports aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs in India in partnership with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
Julia has been working with GIZ since 2012 both in Germany and abroad in different projects. Her work with GIZ included reconstruction and disaster prevention in Haiti after the earthquake of 2010, promoting green economic growth in Vietnam and supporting the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in shaping German development policy around Green Growth. Before joining Project Her&Now in India, Julia was part of GIZ’s Corporate Development Unit where she supported the development of GIZ’s corporate strategy and the set-up of a new and comprehensive strategy development and implementation process for the company.
